Alternative Water Resources Quality Assessment during Flood Disaster in Kuala Krai, Kelantan, Malaysia

Quality assessment of water resources is important to ensure the well-being residents, especially victims who are affected by floods and having difficulties in obtaining clean supply when hit. This paper seeks discuss quality district Kuala Krai, Kelantan. Field methods were used collect samples during northeast monsoon season month December 2016/January 2017 involving six well stations, four flood stations rainfall stations. The involved key parameters, namely DO, pH, BOD, COD, NH3N SS using Water Index (WQI) analysis. results analysis showed that WQI percentage accounted for 61.31 75.95% which Class III moderately contaminated status, except T6 station recorded 80.99% value II good status. findings also all values from rainwater at 87.85 89.10%, condition explains have better than resources. With help this research, manager’s party can take systematic management measures ensuring receive supplies events. In regard, infectious diseases resulted consumption among be reduced.
